Gwaenysgor Community

Village Pond

Gwaenysgor is a small, pretty village of around one hundred and ten houses and roughly 250 inhabitants.

There is a village Pub, the ‘Eagle and Child’, a Village Hall,  Rehoboth Chapel and a church ‘St Mary Magdalene’s’. We also have a number of working farms. Many small businesses are run by individuals from their homes.

Our Local Community Council has combined with neighbouring Trelawnyd, becoming the Trelawnyd and Gwaenysgor Community Council.

There is an active Conservation Group, a thriving Art and Craft Group with roughly 22 members, a book club that meets every other month and a newly established group called ‘The Ace Group’ (Arts, Communications and Entertainment).

The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and has a rich history.
