Trelawnyd & Gwaenysgor Community Council

The Trelawnyd & Gwaenysgor Community Council is made up of 9 elected members – 6 from the village of Trelawnyd and 3 from the village of Gwaenysgor. The elected County Councillor Tim Roberts also attends meetings. The Council meet 10 times a year, (no meetings in August and December) and are held on the second Thursday of the month – with meetings alternating between The Trelawnyd Memorial Hall and Gwaenysgor Village Hall. However, every Councillor is elected to serve the whole Community. Members of the public and press are allowed to attend the Council meetings, whereby 10 to 15 minutes before the commencement of the meeting will be allocated for residents to discuss with the Councillors any matters appertaining to Council business.

The Agendas for each of the Council meetings are displayed on the notice boards in Trelawnyd and Gwaenysgor, at least three days before the meeting. The Agendas also advise in relation to the commencement time – which is generally 7.15pm, together with the meeting venue. Minutes of all Council meetings will be displayed on this web site, following approval at the subsequent Council meeting.

All Council business, including correspondence and telephone enquiry calls, should be directed to:
